I am a Non-Binary, Crip artist working across disciplines (XD) to explore how art can address our most pressing global challenges. My research focuses on the complex intersections of Geopolitical Climate Chaos. Through my practice, I investigate how marginalised identities experience and respond to environmental crises differently. Through building the Climate Chaos Cruise, I am currently exploring how digital platforms and emerging technologies can provide a global Network for artists and creatives for community building, resistance and resilience I employ absurdist humour and ironic abstracted materiality to challenge binary thinking and conventional approaches to resilient art-making. My practice is deliberately resourceful. I create without consuming, using only materials already in my possession. I acknowledge that both personal and planetary resources are limited. As an XD artist, I integrate painting, printmaking, sculpture, and resistance-curation practices from my beach studio in Wales. My provocative films, though sometimes censored (one was banned from YouTube for its transgendered body themes), spark crucial conversations about societal priorities. My commitment to community building has manifested in several successful community arts initiatives. I've run workshops for social media and AI for creatives and facilitated a reading group for the Feminist Internet at CCI: UAL, and am developing workshops that harness humour as a tool for climate anxiety resilience for Academic support at Central Saint Martins UAL. As a former Boeing 747 pilot, I witnessed firsthand the global environmental impacts of my former life. As a parent who radically home-educated my children, it has shaped my understanding of systemic change and educational innovation. I hold a first-class honours degree in Fine Art from Aberystwyth University and an MA in Fine Art: Digital (Distinction) from Central Saint Martins, UAL. I have just completed a master's course in Digital Arts curation from NODE in Berlin, in which this app was the final project. I have undertaken additional professional development in arts marketing, production, management, and queer curatorial practice at institutions including NODE Berlin and BFI Southbank. I am undertaking a practice-based PhD, utilising autoethnographic art action research as an academic model for translating situated knowledge and new thinking in a world that is desperate for creative solutions. Representation for crips and queers is equally essential for me as the world descends into anarchy and injustice. My research enables me to investigate how artistic networks can respond to population displacement and climate change. My experience with life’s temporal turns has reinforced my belief in the power of community and creative resilience. I aim to contribute new knowledge that bridges the gap between artistic practice and queer-eco-gender activism, developing frameworks for sustainable, inclusive creative communities that can adapt to our changing world. I’m seeking not just to document global challenges but to actively shape solutions. As someone who has navigated significant personal and professional transitions, I understand that transformation, whether personal, societal, or environmental, requires both courage and community. I aim to help build those communities and foster a proactive Network through art.

Madeleina Kay is a British artist and activist whose creative reach is as bold as her ideals. Graduating with an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in 2025, she is known for weaving together visual art, songwriting, and performance to challenge and inspire her audiences. As a singer-songwriter and performance artist, Madeleina has taken her work to a remarkable range of venues and stages — from the National Justice Museum in Nottingham and Glastonbury Festival, to the House of Lords, Stormont, and the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Her performances resound not just in person, but online, with viral music videos featured by BBC News and Sky News. Beyond the stage, Madeleina is a prolific writer and illustrator. She has self-published nine books, ranging from children’s stories to art books and information booklets. Her contributions extend to notable publications, such as the German National Library’s House of Europe book. Her work has drawn the eye of major cultural organisations and earned international recognition: she received the Young Talent Prize in the Great British Postcard Competition. She won the EU in my Region Blogging competition in 2017 and the Young European of the Year Award in 2018. The European Cultural Foundation supported her with the Democracy Needs Imagination grant to tour the EU27 in 2019. 2020 brought accolades, including Covid-19 Arts Council funding, the Framing Brexit: EU IDEA Visual Award, and the Upfront! Young European Video Award, and the European Charlemagne Youth Prize. In 2023, she was recognised with the Gender (In)Equality and Planetary Health prize by Global Health 50/50, and in 2024, she received the Vibrant Mind grand prize from GAMIAN Europe.

For the past 30 years Martine has practiced as a freelance community artist, working in Cardiff, the South Wales Valleys and more recently Ceredigion. During her Fine Art training in the 80’s her focus was in Fine Art film and installation. Martine is based in rural West Wales where she practices as a freelance Arts for Wellbeing practitioner. Her artworks are recordings of moments, and being still.

As the third incarnation of Tom Grey, I am an art student at the University of Surrey, undertaking my second PhD. I have recently graduated from Central Saint Martins, where I studied Digital Fine Art. My practice focuses on exploring new ways to apply technology to art, and the balance between control (the intent of the artist) and chance (the will of the medium). I walk every day, and I am inspired by the patterns and chance I find in nature. I am a full-time carer to my two wonderful children. The second incarnation of Tom Grey was a scientist and technologist. He was the CTO of several companies and led the Cloud Platform Pre-sales organisation for Google in Europe. A committed (if occasionally annoying) husband and dad, he failed to survive the death of his beloved wife in 2022. The first incarnation of Tom Grey was a hippy teenager living on a smallholding somewhere in the far west of Cornwall. He spent a lot of time setting fire to things, improvising medieval weapons, and probably drowned after a night drinking down on the beach.

Elis Lloyd is a fine-line artist and illustrator. Their work investigates the porous boundaries between emotional memories and imagined realities, decontextualising the natural world within the line. Their vision is to create work that resonates and is therapeutic to view, hold, or use. Whether it be a colouring page, a visualised quote that people can relate to or just becoming transfixed with patterns or creatures. Their work can be interpreted however the viewer needs to. They are a Carmarthen School of Art, Wales graduate with a BA in concept art and illustration.
